A short Guide to EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organization)

EPFO Is a government fund body under which the Employee provident fund schemer runs. It is for salaried employees who want to have a retirement fund for themselves. Both employer and employee contributions to the fund. It is 12 Percent of both employer and employee salary.

However, users face many issues such as when they want to register for EPFO, or they want to withdraw money from it. So, here we wanted to solve these for you. Below we have step by step guide for these 2 issues. Now, let's get started.

How to Log-in to your EPFO account?

This is the first issue a User face, How to Log-in to your EPFO account. Here are the steps you can follow.

  • First, you need to create an account. For which Visit the EPFO account.

  • There in 'Services,' Select "For employees."

  • Go to the services section; there choose "One Employee - One EPF Account."

  • A new page will get open for EPF Members.

  • Go to "important links" and choose Activate UAN. UAN means ( Universal account number)

  • Enter the details such as Aadhar card, PAN card, date of birth, Mobile number, etc.

  • Once you fill the application, click on 'Get Authorization Pin.'

  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

  • Enter the OTP; now you have log in your EPFO account.

  • The registration process is now complete.

  • To log in next time, enter your UAN number, Password, and Captcha Code.

This is how to Log-into your EPFO account. Now, let's say you want to withdraw money. Here are the steps to follow to do it. Let's get started.

How to Withdraw EPF Online?

First, you need to login to your EPFO Account. After you have logged in, follow these steps.

  • Visit the UAN account page.

  • Enter your UAN Number, Password to log in.

  • Go to the Manage option.

  • There first, check whether your KYC Details such as Aadhar Card and PAN Card is verified or not.

  • After verifying it, go to the 'Online services' option.

  • You will see an option ‘Claim( Form-31, 19 & 10c). Choose it.

  • A new web page will get open.

  • You have to enter your last 4 digits of your bank account number to verify.

  • Once you verify, a popup will get open.

  • It is 'Certificate of Undertaking.'

  • After reading, click on 'yes.'

  • After you click on proceed for an online claim.

  • Now, Select PF Advance Form 3 In the option 'I want to apply for.'

  • Then in purpose, choose the purpose, then the amount.

  • You may or may not be asked to submit scanned documents.

  • Once you have completed the process, it will take around 15 to 20 days to transfer the money into your bank account.
